Telling Time!

Everybody got a time to be the hands on the clock. The taller person was the minute hand and the shorter person was the hour. ---Posted by Avery

Living and Nonliving???

Is a cloud living? That was the question that Elaina asked. With a little research and a review on what makes something living everyone had different ideas. Jack argued that a cloud is living because it drops rain. Avery said that a water hose gives water and it is not living. It was an interesting discussion - and I am not sure if Jack is convinced!

Welcome Back!

What a great day to be back at school! We had a great day of learning started by listening to all the fun from Spring Break Week. I hope you and your family were able to enjoy some rest and time together. My family went to Boston (yes all 5 of us!). We were able to see our oldest son's new life after moving just 7 months ago. We walked miles looking at all the history Boston has. I loved our time together, but was happy to see all the kids smiling faces this morning. It was a perfect day to be at Meadow Wood!

All Things Texas!

I am so proud of the job the kids have done on the play! They really represented the great state of Texas, and learned a few things on the way!

READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY!

Today is a special day for reading, besides being Dr. Seuss Birthday, it is Read Across America Day. We celebrated by having a VERY special guest reader. I was so excited that my dad was able to come in and share some of his time with our class. He read the book, "Just Me and My Dad" (which for me was great because I am still the biggest Daddy's girl around!). The book reminded me of many great fishing and canoe trips that I took with my dad as a little girl. The kids had great questions and he even dressed the part of the Dad. With fishing gear in tow - HE DID A GREAT JOB!
